Another Saturday on St Croix
Before the days I knew of
Aperture and Shutter Speed
I thought Exposure was something I should not "over do"
I knew nothing of Wide Angle or Prime lenses.
I just laid on the floor
or stood on a chair
and clicked.
That being said
This is how I was able to capture our home in St Croix
Enjoy
Another day in paradise
The living room
From the pool
Another view
Peeking into the master
Kenny's favorite chair.
Walking out of the master for a dip in the pool
View from the guest room
I realize that I have no photos of the interior of the guest room.
I believe that when I took this series, we were in the middle of painting...
I'll search for a later time.
Some history~
Villa Madeleine was built in 1990
All 43 Villas were decorated by Carleton Varney
In July of 1991
we were honored to be on the cover of Architectural Digest

Oh my gosh!!! That is absolutely the coolest!!! It is so beautiful. Do you still own this slice of paradise?
simply gorgeous!
Hello Cheryl:
How beautifully stylish, delightfully furnished, and wonderfully cool your house appears to be.
May we come and stay? Do not worry about no pictures of the spare room - we can take it absolutely on trust!!
So beautiful! ANd what a wonderful moment of recognition to see the Anne Packard! We bought one of her paintings many years ago - she says so much with so little....
Hello Cheryl,
Wow...so beautiful. When I started reading your post about aperture and shutter speed and wide angle, it reminds me how much I have to learn about photography. I love seeing your home! It truly does look like paradise. Enjoy!

Hello Cheryl
Your 'slice of paradise' is charming and inviting. It must be a total escape from life in the USA.

I have never been to your blog. Is this your home? It is paradise! Our round dark wood table is from Ikea. It is the Bjursta in Brown-Black. It seats 4-6 with a built in leaf. Cost $179! It is so well made...we just love it! It washes up real good, no watermarks. My husband is a Carpenter and he loves this table. Let me know if you get one!
What beautiful pictures you do, they transport the rest of us, to your wonderful view of the world.
I pray for You daily, Kenny, and the kids also. Strength and Hugs to you my friend.
