Life is very quiet here at the Sparks compound...

with the exception of a group of the kids friends who livened up the place last weekend.

Our caregivers Mike and Kevin were here most of that time, so Kenny did very well.

The kids were incredibly respectful, and there were moments Kenny truly enjoyed.

I spend most of my time sitting with Kenny,

reminding him that I am with him, that we will all be fine, and that we love him.

He laughs and makes us laugh.

He does cry. This is the hardest time. Without the ability to really communicate,

I can only continue to reassure him on all levels.

God and family.
I have not a doubt in my mind that I am where I am supposed to be.

That Kenny is where he is supposed to be.

I do however wonder how much longer this amazing man has to continue like this.

I read yesterday that we should live in the moment.

Knowing that God has a plan, there is some good that will come out of this.

I have to believe that.

Possibly we are not ready for the next part of this journey.

God does know what is best.

I remind myself of that whenever I panic.

Whether it be about Kenny or the kids.
I must remember this.
Jeremiah 29:11 says:
"For I know the plans I have for you,"

declares the LORD,

"plans to prosper you and not to harm you,

plans to give you hope and a future."
