Emma

She is the big girl.
She is 7 years old.
I can't believe that.

She is a wonderful pup.
She and I are going through this together.
Lola and Gus are, too, but they are still little.
They don't really understand.
We need to help them through this, too.

I am so lucky that they are "people" dogs.
I don't know what I would do without them.

He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.
You are his life, his love, his leader.
He will be your, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart.
You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.

What a beautiful little creature . . Emma is a sweetheart. I don't know what I would do without my dogs (red rot/pit mixed and a black lab). Buttons and Jack, always there at the gate when I leave and when I return, just there to love on us . . how blessed we both are to have these little creatures in our lives. Beautiful post:O)

Love it and how true it is. Teddy is such a great and loyal friend and when I see his eyes following my every move, it reminds me that we are his entire world. Dogs really do make the best friends, don't they?

Hello Cheryl:
What a wonderful companion to have. Those eyes could melt stone!!!

The unconditional love of a pet is so very comforting in difficult times. Take care!!

Indeed, indeed, they are that and more and if only we could be worthy of such loyalty and devotion. They are love.

*** This is so beautifully written, about such a beauuuutiful, sweet partner in this walk of life... and so perfectly describes "what it's all about" with our beloved dawgs......

Our Belle, a hunting dawg, was by my side, literally, almost 100% of the time two years ago, when I broke my back in two places & had surgery... she stayed in/on the bed with me, as if to protect me, at all times... We are thick as thieves, this "big girl" n' I, and I can't imagine life without her... I don't think my husband can either... They just seem to be the "icing on the cake"!!!

As ever, thinking of you & sending all our warmest wishes,

What a beautiful dog. It makes me miss my two pups we've since lost. Maybe someday will return to the dogs again. :)
