Waiting for Snow

Tonight Chance of Snow 70%
Accumulation Expected 1 inch

It will make me happy
I really do hope I wake up to snow on the ground
I am doing my little snow dance over here
It's not pretty
I just hope it works

The First Snow-Fall
The snow had begun in the gloaming,
And busily all the night.
Had been heaping field and highway.
With a silence deep and white.

Every pine and fir and hemlock,
Wore ermine too dear for an earl.
And the poorest twig on the elm-tree
Was ridged inch deep in pearl.
by
James Russell Lowell

Kindness is like snow~ it beautifies everything it covers.

Nature is full of genius, full of divinity; so that not a snowflake escapes its fashioning hand.

What great pictures especially of the 'soccer game"! I love that snow is like kindness it beauties everything it touches...that is so beautiful. I am like you I get very excited at the prospect of snow, anything that makes me stay inside, bunker down, make a yummy meal....is perfection! We also are supposed to get a few inches tomorrow...fingers crossed, as we have had nothing so far!

These photos are gorgeous. There is nothing prettier than a fresh blanket of snow. I woke up to snow this morning! My daughter was wishing for a delay or school closing but no such luck. xo

Gorgeous snow pictures! I love the snow, but sadly, I haven't experienced any this year!

LOLA!!!!! teeeheeee....a black dog against white snow is one of my life's pleasures. When I lived in Massachusetts, I lived next to a horse ranch, in the "polo district" of Wenham. It was such a hoot to see the horses rolling around in the snow, wearing their "blankets." We here in Minneapolis have had a sparse winter, but we did get some cover yesterday. DEAREST, thank you for visiting me with such kind words. Yes, Narnia is just a hop, skip and a jump from our realities. I WILL TAKE A BREAK from my report cards from time to time to get some FRESH AIR on the other side of the wardrobe door! PEACE! Anita
