I was blessed to be part of
Bob Kelleher Kids Triathlon 2012

I have included images of the day
along with words sent to Denise
from a friend
There is nothing I can add.

"Every year I try not to get overwhelmed by the emotions...
I think I can be strong.

And then every year tears start to fill my eyes as Patrick races.

The fact is I hear so much good about Bob, yet unfortunately I wasn't blessed with enough time to know him.

I look around each year at the event, see all the people who come to show support and love and an
energy that cannot be put into words.

Bob surely smiles daily looking from heaven.
Watching children complete a triathlon is even more symbolic...

kids have to face their fears
and have the strength to keep going.
No different than the life for you and Pat.
Today you crossed the finish like surrounded
with love and friends...."

Beautiful post. I'm so glad that you went to this and documented it for the rest of us. Everyone of those kids is amazing. And brave.

Just beautiful Cheryl and so poignant. Those kids are heroes in their own right and you just know Bob in smiling down upon each and every one of them.
