Mixed-Up Monday

I know it's Tuesday.
I am a day late.
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

Flashback Friday

My friend Donna
does Flashback Friday.
I thought I might try.

I think Graham (in the ND Starter Jacket) and Nick were about 8 years old.
Nick had never skied.
Kenny, skiing backwards, holding the tips of Nick's skis,
taught him.
They both had such fun.
Graham shooshed by them all.
He still does that.

Nick is getting married in September.
The time goes by so quickly.
PS
That's Nick's dad in the Hoosier's sweatshirt and our friend Dennis in the back.
He must have taken his ski boots off already.

Your children are your legacy to the world. As you raise them with love, you contribute to making this world a better place. ~Kristine Carlson

Alexandra's words often ring in my head.
"Giving hope to a near hopeless situation"

One year ago 12 runners, two vans
and a lot of love
raised over $20,000.00
to help educate families,
doctors and the world
on
Frontotemporal Degeneration.

She was watching her father disappear,
and this was what she could do.

This year 36 runners, 6 vans
and even more love
if that is possible
raised over $50,000.00.
The money is earmarked
for research.
We need to understand more about this disease.

This year her dad is watching over her.
She no longer has to see him decline.
She is learning to grieve.

With the love and support of so many.
Friends from Elementary School,
High School,
Colleges,
Friends of Friends.
Thank you for making
The Second Annual
Neon Extreme Radner Relay
a huge success

Courage doesn't always roar.

Sometimes courage is the quiet voice
at the end of the day saying,

"I will try again tomorrow"

Just Breathe

Lauren was here for the weekend.
The girls were ready for real food.
A little tired of dorm life.
It was fun having them here.
Lots of chatter.
Lots of giggles.
A great day at the beach.

Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another:
"What! You too? I thought I was the only one."

unless it is a friend with chocolate.
